Who is Pat Powers?

Who is this national man of mystery and how did he achieve such a strong connection with the South Dakota establishment?

To answer our question it will take a great deal of patience, work, and mojo, baby!

Once a group of folks gets control of the government, they are not supposed to just start writing themselves checks. Somewhere along the line, though, that's what happened. One of my friends who escaped to Florida once told me South Dakota died in a plane crash with one of its governors.

A mostly silent war wages between the have-nots and the haves. The have nots are the unelected whose taxes generate the cash flow supporting US debt. The haves are a group of established, longtime political juggernauts within the State Government who inherited a "business as usual" method of conducting state government that may shock the poor working folks who have been subject of a constant droning refrain of "the world doesn't owe you anything" and "a real man takes a third job".

At the heart of all the angst in South Dakota is a reinforced political blogger named Pat Powers. Powers is influential in shaping future statewide policy as well as getting republicans elected or appointed to public office. He is also constantly attacking political opponents of his advertisers in a mostly sardonic and sarcastic tone chalked full of a smorgasbord of curated factoids and drive-by insults. Mostly, it doesn't matter what he posts in between gloating about knowing the well spring of political money in South Dakota: drug companies, medical establishments, car/equipment dealers/manufacturers, and energy operations. Ag factors in there, but lately US Ag is under extreme duress of ignorance because its up-stream innovators are either corrupt or overtaken (consider Confucius Institutes in US universities and how that might impact the Extension mission). US Ag has failed to bring widespread inexpensive locally sourced food when all the technology to do that exists.

Instead, it built a nationwide spy grid to rig and steal elections so mafias of various sorts could bleed the treasury dry with no regard for long term consequences.

As the citizens of the State of South Dakota begin to challenge the status quo by electing new delegates and new county and precinct committee persons to positions of power within the Republican Party today, a huge divide is fast occurring within the party itself to reclaim the fiscal responsibility so violently guarded by international naves operating in every county having no regard for US law.

Let's share one particularly vivid context explaining this war within the republican party. Imagine when the South Dakota GOP was born, during a time when the country was trying to responsibly regulate state-level federal government power, control, and impact. Some estimates put the year at 1889, more than a century after the nation's founding war.

Great Brittain found itself conquered and possessed by the Holy Roman Empire, which extended itself through the Crown Government of Great Britain to control many other nations of Earth. Of chief concern to Britain was control of all public affairs of its colonies, who were growing increasingly independent at questioning government control through religion, and exploring relationships with God without guidance from state sponsored religion. Central to the struggle for power was the axiom that mankind was given authority by God to rule over the earth, that all men were free, that man was the ultimate sovereign on the land, that man has the God-given right to come and go freely, and to self govern. A man has complete autonomy - the right - to rule over his interests, to guide all his daily activity in business and private ways of life, and to make all of life's decisions for himself.

This is the American idea, and it comes mostly from Protestantism and the alliances it formed.

Americans began to rise up, organize, and form political activist committees, led mostly by Pastors who held public meetings at each of the churches within America. They formed and led their congregations by organizing them, actively arming them, and leading discussion on how to move forward in hopes to take control of the North American Continent. They fought in defiance of the more Established political leaders - the Pope, Monarch, and Parliament. And by stating within their declaration of rights that they now see themselves as equal in power to that establishment, it dangerously angered that greater power, to great lengths, so much so that the "Empire" financed, and armed Great Britain with arms, equipment, and ships to fight the Americans in order to maintain control of the North American continent. By 1776, Americans with Protestants in the lead, declared themselves a Sovereign People, detaching from Britain as a colony, living upon the land, working and participating in reasonable process to guide public policies based on morals, values, ethics, justice, and self discipline.

It was what occurred after the revolution that set up America for what would begin a process of taking that control. Nine of the States remained loyal to the Monarchy, and by doing so, it pitted a new battle between old adversaries. As the States moved forward with drafting, revising, ratifying, and adopting the US Constitution the conflict took on a new name.

Federalism vs Anti-Federalism

Enter into the fray the Federalists vs the Anti-Federalists, one led by Alexander Hamilton and the other led by George Clinton and Patrick Henry. The two sides fought tooth and nail over who should rule over America and form and adopt future policies concerning foreign commerce of the country itself. Every step along the way, the "Established Group of Political Leaders" did everything they could to remain in power, even if it meant starting wars or forming relationships with financial masters around the globe, all of which provided to them the ability to fund campaigns and hold onto their seats against those newly chosen 'freedom loving" people wanting to begin anew.

America is not about being Republican, Democrat, or some other Political Affiliation, it is about being an American, and that leads us to the birth of the Republican Party itself, at the time that 'we' were establishing Dakota Territory. When the Republican Party was formed, it united people under the ideals of the Western Church. The early Republican Party consisted of northern Protestants, factory workers, professionals, businessmen, prosperous farmers, and after the Civil War, former black slaves. The election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 saw the popularity of the party grow as it branded itself with the morals and traditions of faith and hard work before creating the City of Sioux Falls at the same time the 49th state, Alaska, was joining the union. The pilgrims fleeing religious oppression in Europe shared a common value with people around the world seeking freedom. This "State of People" seeking freedom of religious practice came to America to fairly compete their ideas of loyalty, freedom, Liberty, morality, and other core religious doctrine.

As the core group grew, its core ideas created an impressive competitive advantage and cohesion among its people. The idea that 'WE" are a "State of People" driven by freedom of religion helped create an unrivaled world superpower.

Within the core "State of People" ideal all men are born equally free and independent, have certain inherent rights like enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring and protecting property, and of the pursuit of happiness. Additionally, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed who may worship God according to the dictates of conscience. The right to personally commune with God shall not be infringed.

Also, no person shall be denied any civil or political right, privilege or position on account of his religious opinions, but there are some restraints that must be held in order to have a functioning and thriving society. Therefore, the liberty of conscience hereby secured shall not be so construed as to excuse licentiousness, the invasion of the rights of others, or justify practices inconsistent with the peace or safety of the state, but not at the expense of personal Liberty and freedom. No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law. The right of persons to work shall not be denied or abridged on account of membership or non-membership in any labor union, or labor organization.

These founding principles created powerful free markets, strong families, healthy people, and human might.

That brings us back to the issue of the day - how do we organize the people of the State of South Dakota when establishment powers hold beliefs so orthogonal to the majority population in South Dakota, Protestants?

As we continue now, consider a couple of things.

Pat Powers et al others are consistently calling out anyone who speaks out against established state operations. Also, around the 1980s, Citizens of the State led by a reformed Republican Party, were attempting to take charge by organizing the people to grab control back from the Democrats and Tom Daschle.

Now, in order to beat the progressive movement that had fast taken hold thanks to George McGovern in the 1970s begat Bill Janklow in the 1980s, who begat Tom Daschle, Lee Schoenbeck, and Pat Powers, all of whom seemed disposed to take control of, salvage the South Dakota progressive movement. George Mickelson had just been elected as Governor and the Republican Party was quickly healing to its former tradition as a faith, morality, and values based party. Mickelson had placed the precinct committees in control of seeking out supporters more in keeping with founding Protestant values.

The establishment and Lee Schoenbeck fought back. Executive leadership moved fast to discredit "freedom people", who are dangerous to an agenda reliant on free money from an expansive and increasingly heavy-handed government building prisons that are virtually indistinguishable from schools.

Is Pat Powers' goal to utilize the Internet to take back some form of control with the goal to bring back the progressive concepts of the 1970's? First, Powers established two websites, the Dakota Campaign Store, and the South Dakota War College. By 2002 he maneuvered himself into position to build a network of powerful people in South Dakota. He used the Internet to raise awareness and money to fund political campaigns and use the Internet to gain popularity for the ideas he championed. He ignited interest in candidates he liked, and who aligned themselves with a pro-MRNA vaccine agenda, pro-censorship agenda, pro-5G agenda, and a pro-cannabis agenda (even the sun shines on a dog's shoulders every now and then). His operations seemed to support a widely known globalist agenda of accepting federal funding to fund subsidies and create shelters for expensive statewide projects benefiting very few South Dakotans.

When we yell, "The British are Coming!" should we think of Dakota War College?

According to a news story published by the Capital Journal, Powers was a long-time campaign adviser and Republican activist. The son of a professional investigator, he was based in Pierre for much of his career. He became a campaign adviser for Mike Rounds who became governor in 2002, then Powers took a job under Rounds as director for appointments of state boards and commissions. Mr. Powers may have used this position of influence to place others favorable to his disposition into high places of power.

After leaving the governor’s staff, he started the South Dakota War College blog. He used this political opinion website to promote specific Republican candidacies and to punish others. One of the punished was Stan Adelstein, who questioned Powers' business strategies. When you boil it down, Powers hires-out the journalistic credibility of his site to candidates who pay him money. He has demonstrated a willingness to use his journalistic platform to politically attack candidates who, if they had paid him money, he would likely not attack. It's a dirty tactic and everybody knows it.

Secretary of State Jason Gant's term shined a light on the business model of Pat Powers. Pat Powers helped get Jason Gant elected by funding and promoting his election campaign for Secretary of State. Gant then appointed and hired Pat Powers to a position within the S.O.S office. Powers would be influential over many statewide election directives, which could help him get more of his favored candidates elected to public office.

Pat Powers used his website, the Dakota Campaign Store, to finance, promote, and sell goods and services across the state to help get people elected into office under the Mike Rounds and Dennis Daugard governorships. After Senator Adelstein called for an investigation to be done, Mr. Powers later resigned his position in the Secretary of State, stating that he wished to go back home, to take a job in the private sector. He returned to Brookings and threw himself into his political promotion business interests.

Perhaps S.D.C.L 3-23-1 explains:

State authority, board, and commission members prohibited from having interest in or deriving direct benefit from contract.

No elected or appointed member of a state authority, board, or commission may have an interest in or derive a direct benefit from any contract:

(1) With the state agency to which the authority, board, or commission is attached for reporting or oversight purposes that requires the expenditure of government funds;

(2) With the state that requires the approval of the authority, board, or commission and the expenditure of government funds; or

(3) With a political subdivision of the state if the political subdivision approves the contract and is under the regulatory oversight of the authority, board, or commission, or the agency to which the authority, board, or commission is attached for reporting or oversight purposes.

According to our sources, Pat Powers, while employed by Jason Gant within the Secretary of State's Office, was paid $66,950 per year while building an election promotion business. Today, his website's content features detailed updates regarding campaign filings. Clearly Powers honed his data-hounding skills from his time working in the SOS. While Powers activities likely do not rise to the level of criminal offense, the potential for abuse in this situation is likely offensive to the sensibilities of most South Dakotans.

Powers was provided the means of the office, which has power to govern over all public elections, govern over corp fiction and business names, and watch over and protect the manner of how citizens can petition and place resolutions, initiatives, and candidates on the ballot. The Powers appointment created a grave moral conflict requiring Powers to operate with the utmost integrity. Is Powers a trustworthy moral arbiter? That is not for us to conclude here, but we can say he has been an effective political operative.

In an article Mr. Powers wrote on his blog titled "Coalition of Confederates Reveals Plan on how they intend to Replace Establishment Republicans", he routinely calls out and attacks our County and Precinct Committee Persons for holding meetings with the goal to help organize and bring the counties together to unite under a clear mandated agenda to elect people who support freedom and government accountability.

"As commentary is coming in on an article I posted yesterday, 'Special interest groups seeking to push Republicans their way, but it's a recipe for disaster' I came across an interesting article on-line today about how one leader of the very same 'Coalition of Counties' group explains what the very purpose of their effort is." -Pat Powers

He has called out Bon Homme County Republican party Member, Stu Cvrk, who went on record to discuss the Precinct Strategy:

"The goals of the precinct strategy are to: (1) influence the policies and direction of the Republican Party, (2) decide who represents the party when running for office, and (3) elect representatives to the party who will "truly represent the people." In short, to replace "establishment Republicans" with grassroots conservatives who reflect the concerns of the Republican base."

Powers was upset that the newly elected Precinct Committee Persons are organizing, and that more than a majority of the total number of Counties (66 in all) are coming together to adopt resolutions and initiatives to oust all of Mr. Powers established candidates and replacing all of them with fresh faces who are supported by the people.

It is standard, legal, and effective for Powers to undercut, lash out at, undermine, and rig/influence perceptions about agendas running contrary to his. However, an agenda that encourages people to take experimental untested medical therapies is dumb. Why would people ever buy that unless some kind of deceptive tactics are being used somewhere in the chain of custody of information being published by Powers and his associates?

The people have the protected right to meet in committees and commissions any time they wish. They can call a State Convention anytime they wish. All they need to do is obtain the proper number of signatures and gain majority support from the legislative delegates (35), county committee persons (66), and precinct committee persons (689) to start the process.

Anytime they wish, the people themselves can adopt and create a new platform for the Republican Party that is operated, managed and held in the best interests of the people. South Dakota is up against a globalist cabal that influences our culture, politics, and law. Now, more than ever, South Dakota needs honesty and fair play to fully and accurately deconstruct and assess the extent of corruption in government with respect to elections, funding, appropriations, budgeting, allocation, expenditure, and audit. If operatives like Powers try to stand in the way of the tidal wave of discovery, they risk be proverbially run over as the enlightened become enraged when lied-to about verifiably false things.

Information travels at the speed of light, now. So, a lie gets half way around the world before the truth gets its pants on. However, with the Internet (as Powers and others well know), it now only takes the truth 33 milliseconds to reach the same distance, and my keyboard doesn't wear pants.

As old money fissures create rifts and whirlpools for our people, hopeful thoughts of freedom, brave thoughts of selflessness for our children, and deep thoughts of contemplation in direct communion with God should precede any peaceful, honest, good faith actions taken.

Moments like this, wherein agent provocateurs can toss a single match to great effect, let's forge South Dakota's cultural resolve into a diamond.

If, together, we survive what's coming.
